The suspects in a fight at the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds Thursday night are now both in custody.

Decorah Police say their officers were called to the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds around 11:45 p.m. on Thursday.  A criminal complaint says Calista Seelinger called 911 at 11:29 p.m. Thursday and said she "needed an ambulance right now" because 17-year-old Jacob Seelinger of Decorah and 18-year-old Dalton Adam of Decorah were assaulting a 46-year-old man, who was now "in bad shape medically," according to the criminal complaint.

Seelinger and Adam fled the Fairgrounds before officers arrived, which touched off a search for both.  Seelinger was captured first.  Adam was captured the next day in Wisconsin by the Crawford County Sheriff's Office.  Adam was arrested on felony willful injury causing serious injury warrants, with a total bond amount of $50,000.  Adam will be held in the Crawford County Jail, pending extradition.

Seelinger appeared in Winneshiek County before magistrate, who set bond in the case at $25,000.  Seelinger will be transported to a juvenile detention facility.

In a news release Friday morning, the sheriff's office had described the assault as "brutal" and had warned residents to lock their doors and vehicles while they searched for Adam, who had not yet been apprehended at that time.  The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office says all suspects involved now have been arrested and there is no longer any threat to the public safety.
